On 14 March 2023, the UK Medicines regulator approved an application to reclassify the erectile dysfunction medication Cialis. When marketed asCialis Together(tadalafil 10mg), it will be a ‘P’ (pharmacy) medication, and so available ‘over the counter’ in pharmacies – see. This follows the 2018, ‘P’ classification of (sildenafil 50mg) which has been available OTC, without a prescription, since then.
This decision is good news for men’s health …. Erectile dysfunction can be a debilitating condition, so it’s important men feel they have fast access to quality and legitimate care
Dr Laura Squire, MHRA’s Chief Officer for Healthcare, Quality and Access
Unfortunately, there is a strong black market in the UK for ED medicines, which are often unlicensed or counterfeit. UK Border Force and the MHRA seize millions of pounds of these fake products from criminals annually. This new classification of tadalafil 10mg will enable men who suffer from ED to obtain it safely from a local pharmacy.
Sanofi, the drug manufacturer, is expected to launch Cialis Together later in 2023. Cialis Together will be available to purchase in pharmacies without a prescription by men over 18 with erectile dysfunction. Cialis Together tablets will contain 10mg tadalafil and the maximum pack size will be 8 tablets. Other doses and pack sizes of Cialis and tadalafil will still be available on prescription through doctors and specially trained pharmacists. Before purchase in a pharmacy there must be an assessment with a pharmacist, who will check that Cialis Together is appropriate and safe, or whether consultation with a GP is necessary.
Men suffering with ED will have another treatment option with the convenience of purchasing it in their local pharmacy, including pharmacies found inside supermarkets (eg. Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s). The pharmacist will ask some health questions, may check blood pressure, and will advise on treatment with Cialis Together or Viagra Connect, or the need to consult a GP. Pharmacies usually have a private room for such discussions.
Cialis Together is a 10mg tadalafil product for use at least 30 minutes prior to anticipated sexual activity. Its effects can last. It is not recommended for daily use. The maximum recommended dose of Cialis Together will be one tablet in 24 hours. Prescription Cialis and tadalafil will still be available at different doses.
Dr Fox welcomes the wider access to ED medication for men that Cialis Together classified as a ‘P’ OTC medication will provide. We at Dr Fox are aware of the difficulties men have in discussing ED with their GPs and in accessing ED medication. We know that Cialis is effective and safe for most men and this change provides another option for obtaining ED treatment. Pharmacists are health professionals who are able to give ED advice but they will also know when to refer men who would benefit from a doctor’s assessment. ‘P’ medicines can also be supplied on prescription, and we will offer Cialis Together, when available, alongside our other competitively priced ED products.

The popular erectile dysfunction medicationsildenafil, which is marketed under the brand name, is creating a black market for cheap, over-the-counter medications.
The U. S. Food and Drug Administration warned consumers Monday that the erectile dysfunction drug sildenafil could increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and vision problems in some people who take nitrates.
The FDA also warned that people taking riociguat, a drug to treat high blood pressure, may experience a rare but serious side effect called "heart attack-like symptoms." The medication was approved by the FDA in 2003, and it is still on the market today.

The FDA issued a safety warning for sildenafil, which is marketed under the brand name Viagra, and warned consumers that they may experience heart attack, stroke and vision problems when taking the medication, including a sudden drop in blood pressure.
"Sildenafil may cause a sudden drop in blood pressure, dizziness, headache, or nausea that can be deadly serious," the FDA warned in its warning letter. "This serious side effect could be life-threatening if not treated quickly, and the risk could be life-threatening if not taken care of."

The FDA warned that riociguat could increase the risk of heart attack, stroke and vision problems in some people who take it, including people who take nitrates for chest pain.
The drug is sold under various brand names, including,,,, and. The FDA said its safety and efficacy studies showed that sildenafil, or sildenafil citrate, increased the risk of cardiovascular events in people who took it, including heart attack and stroke.

“You can’t get the job done,” says one of the most famous of the big-selling Viagra jokes, “you can’t get your money back.”
But a few other companies, including Cialis, have been accused of being behind the company’s marketing practices.
Cialis, sold by Eli Lilly and Co. in the United States, is a popular erectile dysfunction drug that is often touted as “the weekend pill” for a weekend weekend get-rich few other men have heard about. But the company has been accused of marketing the drug for the purpose of sexual enhancement.
“It is not a good idea to sell Viagra for recreational use or performance enhancement,” says a Cialis spokesman, who has not been reached for comment.
The drug has been the subject of many criticism, and some in the medical community have taken to calling for a new warning for Viagra.
“It’s a serious safety issue,” says Dr. Sidney Wolfe, director of the Center for Sexual Medicine and Health at the Wolfe lab, in New York City. “The company is going to have to put up with the dangers that are already being posed by Viagra.”
But Cialis has been one of the most successful drugs in recent history, according to a study published in the journal’s medical journal, The Journal of the American Medical Association. In it, researchers compared the effects of Cialis with that of a placebo on more than 30,000 men aged 40 and older. They also examined the effects of the drug on other body systems, like the heart.
Cialis, also sold by Eli Lilly in the United States, is one of a handful of drugs that have been approved for sexual enhancement, but the drug has not been approved by the FDA for performance enhancement. The drug has been in use by more than 80 million men in the U. S. since the 1990s. Cialis is still not yet approved for that use, but the drug’s marketing and advertising activities have made it popular among younger men.
In 1998, Cialis was approved for sexual enhancement, and by 2001, it had earned the FDA $1.6 billion.
In 2001, the drug was approved for performance enhancement, and in 2013, it was approved for sexual enhancement. The FDA rejected Cialis last year.
But the drug’s sales have declined as a result of the drug’s marketing, says a Cialis spokesperson.
“We have been told by the company that it has been a success,” she says. “We’re very pleased with the drug.”
Cialis was the first drug approved for performance enhancement in the U. in 1998.
Although the FDA approved Cialis for performance enhancement in 1999, it did not approve it for sexual enhancement until 2005, when the FDA approved it for performance enhancement in 2006. In that same year, the drug was approved for performance enhancement in the U. and Canada.
The FDA approved Cialis in 2010 for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, a condition that causes enlarged prostate glands.
The drug was approved in 2011 for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension, or high blood pressure in the lungs, and in 2012 for the treatment of Raynaud’s disease.
The drug was approved for performance enhancement in the U. in 2015. In 2016, Cialis was approved for the treatment of Raynaud’s disease.
In addition to performance enhancement, the drug is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, or high blood pressure in the lungs. It is also used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension in people with a family history of the condition, as well as for the treatment of Raynaud’s disease in children and adolescents.
The FDA also approved Cialis in 2015 for the treatment of Raynaud’s disease, but it is not yet FDA approved for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. Cialis is not yet approved for that use.
In recent years, Cialis has been found to be associated with sexual dysfunction in more than 1,000 women, according to a study published in theJournal of the American Medical Associationin 2016.
The drug is also sometimes used for other purposes, such as erectile dysfunction.
“We are a very large and well-run company,” says Robert M.
